As a professional organizer, I often share this great tip with my clients. (We just ordered a Sleep Number bed and that made me think to share it with you. )
Wanna get rid of clutter?
Pick a number. That’s the number of things that you are going to commit to getting rid of each day for at least a month. It can be a piece of paper, a pen that doesn’t work, a piece of furniture, or anything you no longer need or want.
So what’s your number?
Share your number and success at getting rid of stuff by commenting. If you get stuck, let us know and we’ll nudge you along.

Hey, Patty. I’ll start with the modest goal of one item decluttered per day.
In addition, I’d like to set the goal of sorting photos, one box per week. Then I want to put the keepers in albums for our young adult children, as well as to create other family books. After that, it’s on to DVDs of our digital photos.
That should keep me busy for a few years. After which time, we hope to downsize to a smaller home!
Hey Karen! One is way better than none! To make the photo project go a little faster, maybe you could pull them out during a family get-together and let them take what they want and whatever remains, you can put into albums. May reduce the number of photos you have to contend with.
Way to go and keep me posted on your progress!
